Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonie from Nothing functions like a kitchen aid Our first microwave in our new home was a kitchen aid, as well as all other appliances. It lasted 13 years and we loved it. We can’t live without a microwave for long and the wait for a new one was going to exceed my patience so we bought another well known brand. I hated it from the beginning because the screen covering the door was not covered so anytime someone heated things up without the cover it would go through the screen and on the backside of the door. There was NO way to clean it so it always looked dirty and gross. After about 18 months I was completely fed up with it, so we ordered another kitchen aid and it was certainly worth the wait.
